If you are able to join for the national lobby of parliament on 17 October, we strongly advise you to contact your MP as soon as possible to seek to arrange a meeting for that day. Others will want to invite their MP(s) to attend an event at their college that week, or to meet at their constituency surgery. Or you might choose to do all three!

Template letters

We have created some templates to help you:

1. Arrange to meet your local MP(s) in Parliament on Wednesday 17 October

2. Invite your local MP(s) to visit the college during the week of activity as part of celebrating colleges

3. Attend an MP’s surgery/meet in local constituency to talk about issues of concern

Please personalise your letter as much as you’re able to – discussing the issues that are particularly important to you locally, and adding in local context. Joint letters from principal together with student and staff representatives might work particularly – so do amend the letter as works for you.
